In order to advance its vision, the Advot Fund operates in several areas of activity. We believe that activity in these areas will provide a complete picture and comprehensive response to the existing and ever-growing need in Israel’s healthcare system.
The Advot Fund advances a variety of projects to improve the quality of life of cancer patients and their family members by embedding integrative medicine into oncology care, primarily within medical centers (hospitals).
The Advot Fund supports programs that offer complementary therapies using a comprehensive and individually tailored approach, which assists in functional rehabilitation alongside coping with the psychological stress and pain. These therapies integrate emotional, spiritual, and social aspects, thereby strengthening the patient’s sense of self-worth and hope. Throughout the process, the patient is equipped with more effective tools for coping with the complex challenges ahead, which may shorten the rehabilitation and recovery period.
The Advot Fund supports programs that create a support system for parents. Primarily, they offer complementary therapies for the parents themselves, designed to help reduce stress and improve their mental and physical wellbeing.

The programs supported by the Advot Fund focus on integrating complementary medicine into psychiatric care and improving the appearance of the wards. We work to embed complementary treatment methods and expand the range of therapies available to patients and staff. These wards are often underfunded, which is evident in their bleak appearance and atmosphere. Therefore, we invest resources in renovating and redesigning closed wards, with the goal of creating supportive spaces that promote mental wellbeing.

Integration of a variety of complementary therapies in rehabilitation departments, to improve the wellbeing of soldiers injured on October 7th and in the Iron Swords War, while also supporting their families and the medical staff caring for them.
The Advot Fund promotes research and knowledge in the field of integrative medicine by providing funding and support for academic research. The Fund’s goal is to develop evidence-based knowledge, to advance the field in Israel, and to strengthen recognition of integrative medicine within the medical establishment.

The Advot Fund advances support and training programs for medical teams with a dual purpose – to strengthen the teams’ mental resilience and to expand their knowledge and skills in the field of complementary medicine. Through workshops, courses, and professional training, we encourage the adoption of a holistic approach to treatment and we promote the embedding of integrative medicine within medical centers throughout the country. These programs impart skills and abilities to teams and empower their capacity to provide comprehensive and high-quality care, while maintaining their own personal wellbeing.
The Advot Fund works to promote formal regulation and initiatives for including complementary therapies in the healthcare services basket. To that end, we work with the Israel Society for Complementary Medicine affiliated with the Israel Medical Association (IMA) and support its efforts for policy change and regulation. Additionally, we initiate and fund research studies and policy papers to deepen the scientific and professional basis, and we are acting to raise awareness within the medical establishment and to create productive collaborations.

In order to achieve the Fund’s vision of embedding integrative medicine into the public healthcare system, it is important for us to support programs across the entire country, to reach all populations in Israel, including communities that are less familiar with integrative medicine or that have limited access to healthcare services.
